The Brittany region of northwestern France has long been a source of inspiration for artists, with its rugged cliffs, deep green seas, plains, forests, and people all featuring in works throughout history. A special exhibition coming to the Sompo Museum of Art in Shinjuku will explore this part of the world, with around 70 oil paintings, prints, and drawings by 45 artists on display.
Many of the works to be displayed are on loan from the Musée des beaux-arts de Quimper, a museum in Brittany which has a large collection of locally-themed pieces.
Adult admission to the event is priced at ¥ 1600, and no advance reservations are required.
