From July 4th to September 30th, 2025, the Ohori Park Japanese Garden in Fukuoka is transforming after dark into a breathtaking world of light, sound, and digital art. The event, titled Ohori Park Japanese Garden SORA, offers a unique fusion of traditional garden design and cutting-edge technology, inviting visitors to explore the illuminated landscape in a new way.
Centered around the theme "Japanese Gardens x Digital," the event features eight immersive installations that blend nature with interactive digital art. Expect everything from holographic performances to projection mapping that brings the garden's serene ponds and walkways to life.
If you plan on visiting, please note that each phase of the event offers a slightly different schedule: from July 4th to August 10th, the event runs from 8pm to 10pm; from August 11th to September 5th it begins at 7:30pm; and from September 6 to the end of the month, doors open at 7pm, with last entry at 9:30pm each night.
Advance tickets are available on the official website and are offered at a discounted price compared to same-day tickets, with adult tickets starting at 1,800 JPY in advance and 2,300 JPY on the day.
