Fits Ginza offers exquisite French dining in the heart of the Ginza district. The restaurant is tucked away underground, so it is spared the chaos of some ground floor restaurants in the district. It is great for those who would like to opt for a more private venue as its location is quite hidden unless you know where to look. It is truly what one would refer to as a “hidden gem”.

Upon entering the restaurant, you will instantly notice the fine décor – the lights hanging from the ceiling, as well as the unique earthen wall at the back of the restaurant give the space a modern yet warm feel. The loft is also a clever utilization of space, and gives the illusion of a very spacious and open interior. Even so, the restaurant is small as we were told that the max accommodation is up to 14 people.

During my visit I was able to sample a variety of different dishes that the restaurant had to offer. We were able to enjoy a range of four appetizers. My personal favorites were the salmon and the fried pumpkin ball dish. The main course samples were equally impressive – delicious Japanese sea bass and duck. The duck meat was especially tender and was probably my favorite main course dish. Finally, for dessert we had delicious, lush chocolate cakes. I will readily admit that I opted for seconds. Not being a big drinker, I was also pleased to discover that they also serve alcohol free wines.

Fits allows you to relax in a stylish and modern atmosphere whilst enjoying an ever changing menu that puts a Japanese spin on French cuisine. It is the perfect location to stop by for dinner after a long day of shopping in Ginza.
