Shinjuku Nishiguchi

Mecca for shopping

Forgot your phone charger or need to buy some souvenirs? Whatever you are looking for, you will most likely find it if you head to Shinjuku Nishiguchi Station. Surrounded by conspicuously glowing neon lights at night, Shinjuku Nishiguchi (west exit) is home to some major shopping destinations.

Yodobashi Camera

Needless to say, there are electronic stores all over the world, so you may think that a mere place that sells computers and cameras may not be such a worthy destination. But Japan's flagship electronics store features six floors of the latest technology from a wide selection of computers to household washing machines? As if that weren't enough, there are different buildings dedicated for gaming, computers, cell phones, and don’t think that electronics are the only things that Yodobashi Camera sells. There is even a toy section for the kids and a boutique section with luxury Louis Vuitton in stock...

Odakyu and Keio Department stores

If Yodobashi doesn't appeal, don't worry since right outside Shinjuku Nishiguchi you will have access to traditional department stores – not just one but two – Odakyu Department Store and Keio Department Store. Inside these department stores, you will find big name brands from Chanel to Fendi, but also local, contemporary Japanese fashion boutiques popular among the youth of Japan. If you would like to bring Japanese sweets back home, Keio Department Store would also be a perfect place; its basement levels offer an an amazing array of sweets ready to be wrapped in gift-friendly packages.

Even if you just want to wander around, you will surely find an item of interest in one of the department or electronic stores; it will be even better if you are looking for a souvenir or have some specific item in mind. So head to Shinjuku Nishiguchi exit and immerse yourself in shopping heaven.
