Sakura Fes Nihonbashi is a spring event hosted in the Nihonbashi, Yaesu, and Kyobashi areas featuring artwork and special menus that can only be experienced in the here and now.

The festival's highlight will be the weekend of March 28-29, a 2-day special event in which participants are encouraged to join "Offline Nihonbashi" and switch off their digital devices in order to be fully present. There will be a book market, live concerts, and a food market with special menus only available this weekend. At the Fukutoku Shrine near the COREDO complex 10,000 sacoche bags capable of blocking smartphone connections will be distributed free.

From March 16 to 31, visitors to the COREDO complex can enjoy an installation with 100,000 LED lights called the Tree of Life, and an installation of words reminiscent of weeping cherry blossoms drifting in the breeze and music evoking conversations of people in the neighborhood.

From March 15 to April 5, participating stores in the Nihonbashi area will be dishing up limited edition sakura-themed dishes. Those who order one of these special dishes will receive an original novelty gift while supplies last. At night, the neighborhood's buildings and cherry trees will be bathed in pink light creating a dreamy landscape.

Getting there

The main events are largely around the COREDO complex and the nearest station is Mitsukoshimae Station served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza and Hanzomon Lines.
