Nikko Lakeside Hotel is the best place to enjoy the sunset of Chuzen-ji Lake. The hotel is situated on the eastern shore of the lake, near the big, red, shrine gate. Sit at the shore at dusk and soak in the beauty of the sun disappearing over Nikko’s sacred mountains. The hotel was opened in 1894 and greeted many foreign guests for many years.
